It was the perfect gift, since he knew I was a Cirque du Soleil nut. The only problem was that he unknowingly purchased the tickets on a night when I was scheduled to be on the East Coast for a trade show my employer-at-the-time was sponsoring. Although we managed to find someone to buy the tickets from us, we never re-purchased tickets for a later date.
Fade out. Fade in. It's nine years later, and Quidam has made its way back to Southern California after a world tour. This time I wasn't about to miss it.

Thanks to my cheesy camera phone, you can barely see the Cirque du Soleil tent on the left, with the LBC as the backdrop. (03/12/06)
This time it was in Long Beach, which is actually more convenient for us than Santa Monica. And man oh man, was it worth the wait!

Cirque du Soleil was right next to the Queen Mary, shown here in a picture with my camera phone. (03/12/06)
